Crustaceans to the rescue! After over 3 years of development, the robotics team have announced the Crabot 2.5 is ready for deployment. These mechanical critters are designed to withstand 15,700 psi and scuttle across the deep sea floor.

The initial plan for the Crabot 2.5 will be to perform cleanup tasks along the ocean floor, saving millions of dollars towards aqua clean up operations. Future Crabots are already in the works that can also aid in construction and repair of deep sea infrastructure.
